From there we offer ambulance service to private citizens, associations, hospitals and insurance companies to all European and Mediterranean hospitals.

Aircraft is conformed to the sanitary configuration, with a stretcher that looks like a real bed in intensive therapy (ICU), which permits the constant passenger monitoring and assistance. The aircraft used for medical flights can host besides the patient and the medical crew up to two companions.

Our and Air Medical highly skilled management, efficient organizational structure, constant observation to patient care and personalized services are among some of our core values, so our service is entirely focused on the needs of patients, helping them far away from home when they require medical assistance.

In February GIO Aviation established a partnership with Osnovno zdravstvo Gorenjske (OZG, eng. Primary health of Gorenjska) and thus complemented our service of medical flights with medical team.

OZG is a public institution which carries out health services on the primary level and provides health care professionals. Part of the public health network and part of emergency medical service organized by OZG is also unit Helikopterska nujna medicinska pomoč (HNMP, eng. Helicopter emergency medical service). HNMP has its base at the airport in neighbouring hangar, where they have a team on standby consisting of doctors and medical technicians, which allows us a faster response time.
